Who we are

CommuteAble Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We operate the CommuteAble website at commuteable.co.uk. When we say "CommuteAble", "we", "us", or "our", we mean CommuteAble Ltd.

For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at info@commutable.uk.

What data we collect and why

This website is a pre-launch information site. The only personal data we currently collect is:

  • Contact form submissions: name, email address, your role, organisation (optional), and any message you include. We collect this so we can respond to your enquiry and keep you updated about CommuteAble.
  • Analytics data: if you consent to cookies, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymised information about how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on site, approximate location at country/region level). This helps us improve the website. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

Legal basis for processing

  • Contact form data: Legitimate interest and your consent (by submitting the form).
  • Analytics data: Your explicit consent via the cookie banner.

How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry.
  • To send you updates about CommuteAble's launch, where you have agreed to this.
  • To understand how people use our website so we can improve it.

We will never sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data sharing

We use the following third-party services which may process your data:

Cookies

We use one category of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: A single localStorage entry (ca_cookie_consent) that stores your cookie preference. This is not a tracking cookie.
  • Analytics cookies (optional): Google Analytics cookies, only set if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner.

You can change your cookie preference at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. If you ask to be kept informed about our launch, we will retain your contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@commutable.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
